Bruce L. Evans (pseudonym B.L. MESHACK EVANS) is the CEO of Meshack Art Studio and its creative content developer. He is also the author and creator of Parable Entertainment Bible Universe, the flagship title of
Meshack Art Studio. 



Bruce was born on May 1, 1964, in Baltimore, Maryland, and is the youngest son of Willie J. and Ethel L. Evans. In 1977, Bruce’s mother took him and his siblings to a store called Rexall, giving him $27 to spend. Bruce used the money to buy comic books and began drawing the covers of each magazine, which marked the beginning of his artistic journey.



At age 13, in mid-1977, after Bruce started drawing and saw promising results, he realized this was what he wanted to do with his life. Bruce’s father and oldest brother, Chico A. Evans, were excellent artists who had no formal training, and Bruce often said his own abilities followed behind theirs. He shared that being a perfectionist made it challenging, and his concentration was often tested as he worked to refine his skills—something he continues to do today.



During the 1980s, especially in 1984, Bruce met a bookstore owner named Francis, whose store specialized in comic books. After seeing some of Bruce’s artwork, Francis encouraged him to attend the San Diego Comic-Con, where portfolio viewings were held. At Comic-Con, Bruce learned what it takes to be a professional artist in the comic book industry and regularly shared his portfolio at the Marvel Comics Group booth. Over the years, Marvel editors gave him advice on how to improve his work to meet their standards.


In 1994, Bruce began focusing more on writing and wanted to grow as a storyteller while continuing his art. He was encouraged to create a story called “Winter 2112 Last Days of America,” which became an early version of PEBU. By 2000, Parable Entertainment Bible Universe had developed into a strong project in Bruce’s mind, with established characters and a main storyline, though it still lacked a title.

Around 2009, as Bruce reflected on the book, the name Parable Entertainment Bible Universe came to him, providing the final context for the comic novel. From 2009 through 2020, Bruce continued to work hard to complete the book and prepare it for publication. Throughout this process, he became a more mature artist and writer but still does not consider himself fully accomplished in his field. Parable Entertainment Bible Universe has become a life-changing inspiration for Bruce, and he hopes to share it with as many people as possible.
